1st Element of SEO is King
Image via WikipediaThe old Internet Marketing axiom “Content is King” isn’t true. The reality is more important than that, consider “Real Good Content SEO‘d properly is King.”
There exist no Queen. Every other SEO element is of equal importance in our considerations.
Few of the Internet Marketers that I’ve ever spoken to can seem to see past SEO as a Methodology, a step by step procedure, sort of like paint by numbers where the results certainly can’t be Art or Science in its highest form but merely a pathetic imitation and a poor tool for learning the creative process. I believe it impossible to achieve maximum site visibility, traffic and conversion using a paint by numbers approach to SEO and we have the Math to prove it! (More about the math in a future post)
The process of SEO content development involves a lot more than just simply repeating keyword phrases several times within a paragraph. search engines return search results in the order of their perceived relevancy to the search query. It’s by concentrating on relevancy within your content as it relates to your query space that will establish your position within the search engine results. Overall the more relevant your site appears to be within its query space the higher your listing within the search results.
When we practice the fundamentals of SEO content creation we also take into consideration the marketing essentials of this content. It’s our ability to blend these concepts effectively into a cohesive presentation that makes all the difference to our customers and to the search engines.the idea that we should create content for human beings to consume and not worry about the search engines is only partially true.
“Google’s search engine also analyzes page content however instead of simply scanning for page-based text Google’s technology analyzes the full content of a page and factors in fonts subdivisions and the precise location of each word. Google also analyzes the content of neighboring webpages to ensure the results returned are the most relevant to a user’s query.”
Our quest for content creation to satisfy both the search engines and our customers should be based upon what we know to be true. Our SEO methods including content creation must be designed to increase traffic to our website where are marketing techniques are designed to produce a transaction of some sort. This could be a purchase of a product or service, opting in to our newsletter, downloading a white paper, or performing an action that furthers our business. Our abilities to effectively blend these considerations will spell our success. Properly SEO’d content is the one factor of utmost importance.
